Assessment of renewable energy sources to generate electricity for remote areas, South Iraq

With the rising need for utilizing renewable energy instead of traditional energies in electricity generation across world, a broad assessment these energies' performance is required to make most them everywhere. This paper looks at techno-economics resources distant health clinic rural location southern Iraq. Cost, dependability, and availability are parameters that were considered this study, which took into consider power load scenario. Because its efficacy, particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique was chosen suggested study. Results showed respective optimal values number photovoltaics (NPV) equal (10), wind turbines (NWT) (5), batteries (NBT) (33), cost (COE) (0.518 US$/kWh), loss supply probability (LPSP) (0.073%), reliability (REL) (99.927%) factors (RF) (100%) with (66 %) solar penetration, (34%) penetration. Finally, it discovered implementing hybrid system (HRES) an effective way address electrical demands remote regions Iraq other developing countries similar climates.
